Community contributor, J.A. Forrester, looks back at the history of Canadian cinema in an attempt to answer some age-old questions: What is a Canadian film, really? And who gets to decide?
Jurassic Park, written by Micheal Crichton and published in late 1990, is a phenomenal book. It’s a gripping horror-thriller, written with the help of experts from a variety of fields, artfully looking at the themes of human greed and ignorance. Unlike the film based on the book, the story is dark, filled with gruesome deaths, and a sense of dread that the movie failed to fully capture.
Do you find that the average holiday movie is “Ok”? Do you feel that if you watch one more flavourless Hallmark couple or one more Christmas miracle, you’ll become homicidal? Do you want blood? Gore? Inside, co-editor Evan Robins reflect on celebrity death and worship in a time of global turmoil, Abbigale Kernya opens up about her failed vegetarianism, and Arthur journalists investigate, interview, poke and prod everything from films to professors.
Arthur is sooo back! After a rejuvenating summer sabbatical in the woods, Arthur returns just in time for the school year with more of the hard-hitting community reporting you've come to expect from this small but mighty rag. In Issue 0, you'll find articles by community members about the experiences of graduate students post-graduation, the pitfalls of corporate culture, and why Bata Library isn't so aptly named. You'll also find a veritable cornucopia of book and film reviews. This issue also includes a feature article on the Peterborough Museum and Archives' newest exhibit: "To Honour and Respect: Gifts from Michi Saagiig Women to the Prince of Wales, 1860.”

It's a time-travelling, rip-roaring, closet-recording RFA this week, as the show known for only the most breaking of news brings you the stale knowledge that beloved boy bandmate and (alleged) domestic abuser Liam Payne has died.
