Hello … Hello … is anybody listening?!

That’s generally how it feels to make live radio from the Trent Radio Studios located at the corner of George & Parkhill in downtown Nogojiwanong-Peterborough. Especially these days, as the facility has only partially reopened since March 2020.

You can’t see or know who is listening to analogue radio - it’s anonymous and un-trackable. But they’re there - thousands of community members each week, tuning in to 92.7 FM on the radio dial, or from all over the world through trentradio.ca

Trent Radio radio doesn’t make radio - you do. Instead, Trent Radio focuses on providing educational opportunities in broadcasting and communication arts for Trent Students & Community Members. We do this by inviting community members just like you to come in and create weekly producer oriented radio emissions. 

Similar to podcasts and streaming - but rather than riding the information highway known as the internet and being offered “on demand”, these voices, ideas, musical selections and audible creations are taking a trip along the analogue radio waves to broadcast at 92.7 FM in Nogojiwanong-Peterborough & the surrounding area as a synchronous community engagement.

You can also choose to listen to Trent Radio on the internet at trentradio.ca, and many of our independent producers choose to podcast their radio shows - but our main purpose is to ride those airwaves, create opportunities for engaged synchronous community listening, and to give you and everyone else the chance to not only hear what your neighbours are thinking and doing, but also the opportunity to share your ideas and content.
