If you have an interest in documentary film, media art, and/or activism, the ReFrame Film Festival is the perfect event to start the new year off right!
From January 23 to 26, 2020, ReFrame takes over downtown Peterborough screening films that focus on social and environmental justice. As well, there are panels, discussions and workshops with filmmakers and activists that look to challenge and engage you with the issues of today, including: the environment and food, Indigenous rights, feminism, politics, poverty and the economy, health, race, LGBTQ, and arts and culture.
ReFrame is a great opportunity for students to actively engage with some of the concepts you may be learning about in school. It is a great way for anyone to learn firsthand from all of the knowledgeable guests coming to share their stories. It might even spark an interest in a cause you didn’t know about. Of course, the ReFrame Film Festival also presents a wonderful opportunity to support and appreciate the artistic practice of documentary filmmaking.
