I’m not a fan of musicals. I KNOW! I’M A BAD HOMOSEXUAL! However, The Drowsy Chaperone was a clash of cheesiness, camp, and chaos in the best way possible. Whether it was blindfolded roller skating, or a plane coming out of the sky, the play always kept the audience on their feet and excited to see what comes next.
If you’ve been on social media lately, or have just been following gaming and Pedro Pascal since 2013, then you’ve definitely heard of HBO’s The Last of Us by Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin — or, what is arguably the best video game adaptation up to date. The Last of Us, starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay, follows the journey of Joel and Ellie — a stone-hearted smuggler and the girl he’s smuggling — as they travel across Apocalypse America facing mushroom monsters, raiders, and trauma along the way.
A common presumption about violent hazing practices is that they only exist in male sports. While this may be what has been dominantly covered in the media, it is clearly a pressing issue in women’s sports.
Leo Groarke paddles away from accountability and onto the front page of Arthur's November issue. We have everything here from bathroom politics to the experiences of teaching candidates and how Gzowski College plans to spend its COVID surplus. This issue also featured the resurrection of Lillith - a feminist self-representation insert featuring art, poetry, and prose created in recognition of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence.
The October issue is out! Get informed about the latest in the Trent and Peterborough-Nogojiwanong community! If you’re looking for TES placement hours, check out the TSL’s advertisement in this issue for some tutoring opportunities! You can find the physical paper around Symons and Traill campuses, as well as downtown!
Rumours of Alfred's death have been greatly exaggerated, as the current insert bears witness to. This horrible little paper, bred in the deepest pits of contempt for ingrained authority, bootlickers, and patsies of all description is the satirical (and deeply stupid) younger brother of Arthur. Be warned: This paper has no redeeming qualities.
This episode features City Councilor Alex Bierk and his friend Chad. We also had the chance to recount a couple of Peterborough headlines that caught our eye. The Parkway is finally dead (or is it?), Federal Workers are on strike, and Dave Smith has joined Michelle Ferreri on Russia's Foreign Ministry's list of banned Canadians.
