Citing burnout, stagnating pay, and unsustainable working conditions, many members of the ONA took to the streets out front of PRHC on February 23rd. The Ontario Nurses' Association has begun organizing pickets as they head to the bargaining table with the Ontario government.
A message from our Editors and Board of Directors concerning a recent disinformation campaign to make Arthur's levy refundable perpetuated by anonymous members of the Trent community. Democracy isn't democracy if it is based on lies.
Rumours of Alfred's death have been greatly exaggerated, as the current insert bears witness to. This horrible little paper, bred in the deepest pits of contempt for ingrained authority, bootlickers, and patsies of all description is the satirical (and deeply stupid) younger brother of Arthur. Be warned: This paper has no redeeming qualities.
With Issue Seven, Arthur's 57th Volume goes out with a proverbial bang. Having survived a malicious libel and defunding campaign wrought by Trent's best and brightest, Arthur is assured another year (at least) of funding. Beyond the top-notch reporting you've come to love and expect, the paper and its contributors come back swinging with "Alfred" - an insert which is not recommended for anyone under the age of 18 or who get offended by things they read.
Issue 3 arrives just in time for the holidays - when exam stress is at a peak and snow blankets the city making it even less pedestrian friendly than usual. As City Council weighs the relative worth of a human life, they're also faced with student demands for better transit. In the letters section, international students are sick of sexy bingos and demand action while a famous scientist writes about the lack of resources for STEM students in labs and libraries at Trent. Also, the debuts of new columns "Dear David" and "Cinevangelism." All this and more in the December Arthur!
Episode 4! We finally have local music to serve as the official #PtboPoliPod theme! Big shout out to Garbageface for supplying us with these bangers.
