With Issue 7 we bring an end to the 58th volume of this fair publication and what a year it was! This edition includes the culmination of a month's long investigation into the working conditions of dons at Trent alongside local news, arts, and events coverage. In addition, we mark the hallowed return of Alfred for the second year running. Newsflash: We've gotten worse. Reader discretion is strongly advised!

Issue 6 is your one stop shop to all the hot goss going on at Trent! TCSA VP resignation? Leo saying a swear? Another questionable election? You got it and it's all here alongside local news, arts, and culture from around Peterborough/Nogojiwanong!

Issue 5 features reporting on events centred around Black History Month both in Peterborough and Durham Region as well as a host of local community arts, culture, and politics stories - including the unveiling of the new crest for Gidigaa Migizi College during this year's Elders and Tradsitional People's Gathering. FInally, as things ramp up for the TCSA's spring elections, we're hopeful that students will make informed decisions on the questions the Association is asking them to vote on, again.

New Year, same paper. Arthur is back for 2024 and we have partnered with ReFrame Film Festival as an Official Media Partner. This edition features a special centre spread filled with reviews of films appearing at this year's festival. Issue 4 also tackles issues of interest to the public including the purchase of a new property for the Police, the perennial question of what constitutes a Canadian film, and also what is going on at Cleantech Commons?

Happy Holidays from all of us at Arthur! The final issue of 2023 includes an editorial about the latest approach to addressing the homelessness crisis in our community, an interview with the Trent University Alternative Arts Collective (TUAAC), an announcement concerning Trent's newest College, and the return of "Dear David" in The Bowlcut. All this alongside updates from City Hall and the launch of a new section we have opted to call "Fistfuls" - story stories that pack a punch. Issue 2 takes on the dichotomy that is Head of The Trent with two long-form articles discussing the impacts on the community from the perspective of Indigenous students and staff and a rollicking piece about the forgotten raison d'être for the whole event which fell on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Evan Robins debuts the first two parts of a series on Peter Robinson College 20 years after its sale. All this alongside community, City Hall, and campus news from the TCSA.

Arthur is back for round two with Issue 1. In this issue you'll find interviews with Stephen Stohn and the proprietors of Peterborough's newest independent bookstore, Take Cover Books. Get the latest on City Council's strategy on homelessness and reports from the ground of local protests. We're also happy to introduce a new column with "Gator Goes Global" and the return of fan favourite "Cinevangelism."

Arthur is sooo back! After a rejuvenating summer sabbatical in the woods, Arthur returns just in time for the school year with more of the hard-hitting community reporting you've come to expect from this small but mighty rag. In Issue 0, you'll find articles by community members about the experiences of graduate students post-graduation, the pitfalls of corporate culture, and why Bata Library isn't so aptly named. You'll also find a veritable cornucopia of book and film reviews. This issue also includes a feature article on the Peterborough Museum and Archives' newest exhibit: "To Honour and Respect: Gifts from Michi Saagiig Women to the Prince of Wales, 1860.”

With Issue Seven, Arthur's 57th Volume goes out with a proverbial bang. Having survived a malicious libel and defunding campaign wrought by Trent's best and brightest, Arthur is assured another year (at least) of funding. Beyond the top-notch reporting you've come to love and expect, the paper and its contributors come back swinging with "Alfred" - an insert which is not recommended for anyone under the age of 18 or who get offended by things they read.

Rumours of Alfred's death have been greatly exaggerated, as the current insert bears witness to. This horrible little paper, bred in the deepest pits of contempt for ingrained authority, bootlickers, and patsies of all description is the satirical (and deeply stupid) younger brother of Arthur. Be warned: This paper has no redeeming qualities.

Arthur is back in action for March and after a brual month full of all kinds of horrible slights and baseless attacks from the far reaches of campus we get to keep our funding for at least another year! This issue features everything from the profane to the profound and everything in between. In short, everything people have come to love (or despise) about Arthur is here within these pages. We talk about the most moving moments of the 47th annual Elders and Traditional People's Gathering to the academic ramifications for discovering you are indeed a cat. You'll also find the latest on what City Council has been up to and a review of some pertinent films.

Issue Five features a centre spread in recognition of Black History Month made up of community contributors reflecting on aspects of Black identity in a local and global context. The re-opening of the Pig's Ear Tavern was major news for locals and so Irene Suvillaga sat down with the new owners for another installment of "Meet the Locals." An awkward and upsetting instance of white fragility in Council ends in a successful motion for Councillors to undertake mandatory Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Training. "Dear David" takes on the big questions of gender politics, Evan Robins returns with a theatrical cut for "Cinevangelism," and another dispath from our trusted writer abroad, Tru Van Wyk talks the ups and downs of life in Nottingham. Finally, we are excited at the return of PuzPuz Puzzles! Sit back, relax, and remember what you read!

Arthur is back for 2023! This month's issue contains an insert of reviews of films playing at this year's ReFrame Film Festival, coverage of local news events and City Council decisions, some hot takes on local thrift stores, and the return of treasured columns Dear David and Cinevangelism. Finally, Arthur's chronically unstable younger sibling TED is back in print. Beware, but enjoy.

Issue 3 arrives just in time for the holidays - when exam stress is at a peak and snow blankets the city making it even less pedestrian friendly than usual. As City Council weighs the relative worth of a human life, they're also faced with student demands for better transit. In the letters section, international students are sick of sexy bingos and demand action while a famous scientist writes about the lack of resources for STEM students in labs and libraries at Trent. Also, the debuts of new columns "Dear David" and "Cinevangelism." All this and more in the December Arthur!

Leo Groarke paddles away from accountability and onto the front page of Arthur's November issue. We have everything here from bathroom politics to the experiences of teaching candidates and how Gzowski College plans to spend its COVID surplus. This issue also featured the resurrection of Lillith - a feminist self-representation insert featuring art, poetry, and prose created in recognition of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence.
